Comparing my life to Nepal

The week we watched a document about how some children live in Nepal and Russia.

The documentary highlighted the challenges some of these children face just to get to school.

In Nepal the children had to go down this hill and then they had to cross this river but how to cross the river was this basket but the basket was on the other side.If someone doesn’t come and help the childrens they have to go back home. But while the basket is on the other side they have to wait for the other kids before they cross the river and if they are late to school they get a smack or get their hair pulled and the kids take 2 hours to get to school.

But while they were waiting they saw this farmer and the farmer went to the other side and bring the basket to the kids but one by one they have to cross in the basket and did you know that if you fall in the river you die but when they get to the other side they have to wait until one of the cars stops and drive to school. While then a car comes and takes them to school and then the kids got to school on time but before they start they do gymnastic.

This is very different to my life in Auckland. For me I have to go in the car or walk to school.
